Senior DevOps Engineer (Public Trust or US Citizens Only) Work locations: Washington, D.C., St. Croix, Virgin Islands, Remote

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be an integral part of forming and executing the design, implementation, and culture of delivery for our projects.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with team members on building, testing, and releasing functionality to clients.
  • Aid clients to elicit and clarify application requirements.
  • Participate in and support daily team activities and ceremonies.
  • Quickly ramp up on new technologies and client-specific domains.
  • Direct Agile technical delivery activities provide peer level mentorship.
  • Contribute to operationalizing, monitoring, and maintaining distributed systems.
  • Support additional internal company needs as necessary.

Who you are:

  • Based in the U.S.

  • A strong collaborator with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thoughtful, adaptable, and able to succeed in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

What you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years supporting and working in AWS and securing Cloud Native Architectures.
  • Experience with Terraform, shell scripting, and Linux system Administration.
  • Supporting and working in container based and serverless architectures.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment, collaborating with designers, business analysts, back-end developers, and others.
  • Experience with Agile practices such as Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, and Pair Programming.
  • Willingness to learn new languages and techniques, and obtain certifications.
  • An active Public Trust Security Clearance or ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.

We would love to see:

  • Experience managing and deploying systems with zero downtime high availability requirements.
  • Experience testing Automated Configuration.
  • Familiarity with Azure, GCP, Rackspace, etc.
  • Experience configuring and working in systems networking.
