The company is currently seeking a highly skilled Logistics System Risk Officer, with recent and relevant medical logistics-specific experience, to support our recently awarded contract with the Defense Health Agency, Medical Logistics Division (MEDLOG). The mission of the MEDLOG is to recommend clinical, logistics, and program policy, as well as to support medical materiel development and acquisition processes across the four Services. The purpose of this mission is to promote standardized medical supplies and equipment, joint interoperability of operational medical capabilities, and efficiency in the acquisition and lifecycle management of medical materiel.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Receives and analyzes new/incoming support requirements.
- Develops logistics information system techniques.
- Establishes criteria and makes recommendations when procedures/guidelines do not exist for equipment accountability, equipment maintenance.
- Supply operations and facility management requirements that impact logistics support.
- Extensively researches and studies reports and technical bulletins.
- Determine and keep abreast of state-of-the-art equipment life cycle and facility management technology and trends.
- Develop new communication and logistics support techniques.
- Develops and maintains policies, directives, procedures, and related material for various conventional/unconventional logistics management systems and programs.
- Independently develops supplemental technical and procedural documents required for effective guidance and control logistics systems and programs.
- Analyzes essential and desirable operating capabilities, translating these into performance requirements for communication.
- Studies new equipment performance data, develops and/or modifies test plans, conducts tests, and analyzes test results to ensure compatibility with existing equipment.
- Maintains an open, continuous process of review and evaluation of modern technologies through interactivities with a wide variety of technical experts including vendors, original equipment manufacturers (OEM), NIH and DOD components.
- Conducts cost-benefit analysis for purchase of new equipment and performing equipment and facility maintenance in-house or by contract.
Experience and Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of supply chain experience in a medical logistics environment.
- Shall be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- United States citizenship required.
Education
- Viable candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, or similar discipline.

Security Clearance Requirements
- Security background investigation required.
- Active security clearance preferred; cleared. Government or former military background
Place of Performance
- Dalecarlia office (onsite) – 6000 McArthur Blvd, Bethesda, MD 20817
- Viable applicants must reside within daily commuting distance of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Remote work eligibility will be considered on a case-by-case basis at the Vistant government client partner’s discretion.
