Our governemnt contractor client, VES, is seeking highly qualified individuals to provide Digital Engineering and Modeling & Simulation expertise to inform the development and promulgation of DoD-wide state-of-the-art systems engineering practice and to support modernization priorities for the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)) Engineering Policy & Systems Directorate. The successful candidates will excel in managing and accomplishing major project technical tasks; providing technically sound advice to inform the development of DoD engineering policy, guidance, standards, and digital engineering tools and environments; and establishing strong working relationships with DoD stakeholders to successfully implement change and evolve the DoD engineering culture. The individuals will advise, discover, and develop digital/model-based techniques and artifact implementation processes in support of systems engineering application to DoD areas of interest; develop and support transition and implementation plans for digital engineering initiatives; perform a technical leadership role within the DoD modeling and simulation enterprise; and establish and facilitate related Communities of Practice (CoPs), Working Groups (WGs), and Bodies of Knowledge (BoKs) to serve the DoD, the Services, Defense Agencies, academia, and industry.

Qualifications: The Senior Digital Engineer will be a strategic leader capable of setting, managing, and executing digital engineering activities, with an emphasis on the DoD modeling and simulation enterprise. Individual must have demonstrated experience in development, application, and stewardship of models across multiple disciplines of acquisition, analysis, and training. Familiarity with DoD acquisition policy, guidance, and standards is desired.
Experience: Senior engineer Requires 10+ years of experience in engineering. (Mid/Junior-level positions require 5+ years and 2+ years, respectively.)
Education: Requires B.S. degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline that is related to Engineering. M.S. degree preferred
Security Clearance: Senior engineer requires TS clearance with SCI eligibility. (Mid/Junior-level positions require SECRET clearance.)
