Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled Exploitation Specialist-Programmer to support mission-critical efforts for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in Springfield, VA. This position focuses on data engineering, programming, and leveraging advanced geospatial tools to deliver impactful solutions for tasking and collection data processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines and ETL workflows to support data acquisition processes.
- Develop and maintain solutions using Elastic and other data storage tools to enable mission partners’ access to critical data.
- Utilize geospatial software and tools for processing and analysis, contributing to efficient tasking and collection workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize scalable systems for geospatial intelligence.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant experience OR 2+ years with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Geospatial Science).
- Clearance:
- This position requires a TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with RESTful services.
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud-based data storage solutions.
- Hands-on knowledge of data engineering practices, including ETL processes.
- Geospatial Software Tools:
- Familiarity with common geospatial applications such as GIMS and NGA-Source information systems is desirable.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with programming languages and tools, including:
- Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, Git, MongoDB, PostGIS, Jira, CLI, Graph DB, Ruby, NodeJS, C, C++.
- Understanding of geospatial intelligence workflows and systems.
