Job Title: Socio-Cultural Analyst (Chinese)

Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled Socio- Cultural Analyst-native Chinese speaker to support CYBERCOM.
- Conduct all-source analytic production of socio-cultural elements, human terrain, and human geography
- Analysis of religious, linguistic, ethnic, and social domains
- Incorporate expert sociology, cultural anthropology, demography, psychology, geography, economics, and political science
- Perform as a Chinese language specialist at the native level providing accurate reading, writing, speaking skills, as well as providing cultural understanding regarding geopolitical, economic, and social issues
- Conduct research, HUMINT intelligence collection and analysis
- Provide accurate written translations of transcripts, video, and audio sources, from the target language to English and vice versa while preserving the original meaning and intent
- Devise and advise methods of target language research and exploitation of information and determine the most effective methods for presenting and disseminating the information
- Possess expertise in network defense principles and the intricacies of establishing network infrastructure including hardware and software
Required Experience and Skills
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 9 years of experience related to the job description with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years
- Native language requirement-Chinese- First/second generation speaking ability to understand current vernacular, colloquialisms, and terminology – Proficiency level of 4 required in speaking, reading, and writing
- Ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced
- Ability to structure analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction
- Ability to collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution
- Ability to develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence
- Ability to lead teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems
Clearance:
This position requires TS/SCI clearance (CI poly is a plus, however, if the candidate does not have one DIA will administer one. This will slow down the hiring process.)
